What Happens: Corrine and Josie travel through the wormhole to Pearadyne labs– moments before the accident.
What's Involved: The main thing to understand is what wormholes and black holes are, and how they differ. This is later addressed in Storm, but the lesson is interrupted by Durst.

So how does a wormhole work?
Picture our blanket again. Bend it in a U-shape. Now pretend you're walking along it (It's a really big blanket.) Just like the earth, the straight line you walk is curved. But there's an easier way to go. Imagine a hole in the blanket where you started. There's, say, a (once again, really big) straight paper towel tube in the hole. Go through it. You come out the other side through another hole in the blanket... on the opposite end. Essentially, you have taken a shortcut.
Same thing with a mountain on Earth. You can get to the other side by taking a normal path. But there happens to be a tunnel going straight through the mountain.
By the way, the area between (under the blanket and around the wormhole) is known as hyperspace.
There are a couple problems with having a wormhole. It may be best to list them:
1.
2.

Final Verdict: Just maybe. A lot is theory, and a lot has to be resol7966660457
However, a large number of scientists remain hopeful. gkh
